With Arkitek KDI
The Sarawak Electrical Commission Headquarters Building in Kuching, Sarawak was the fulfilling partnership with Arkitek KDI whereby CDGA were the design consultants and the winning entry for a limited competition, and subsequently preparing the drawings and documents for statutory submission.
The design of the SESCO HQ is driven by the organisational structure of the various departments within the Commision in a counterbalance, with the structural and services core acting as the common unifying element. The result is a pleasing balance of modern and almost brutalist expression of building form that is befitting of the organisational hierarchy of governmental infrastructure that is housed within.
